Sony confirmed that they are working on a Firefox OS device earlier this week. Now they have released a experimental ROM for Xperia E that would let developers try it our and get familiarise with the new OS. The Firefox OS is based on the open web standards that offers every feature in the phone developed as an HTML5 application and the user experience are developed by HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The Firefox OS has Firefox Marketplace to download apps.

Since this is an experimental version, the OS might be unstable, and the radios don’t work yet.
